Capital: Heliogabalus Crest: Silver shield with and Eagle with spread wings, arrows in one talon, long sword clutched in the other Population: Humans, Dwarves, Halflings, Half-Orcs Government: Monarchy controls half of the country, Warlords and others in control in the other half Religions: Ilmater, Silvanus, Tempus (barbarians) Currency: Bloodstone trade bars (mostly for merchants and the wealthy), although at one time considered unlucky they are quickly becoming popular again; values range from 1 sp to 50 gp:
Trade Common Items: Wool, iron pre, granite, marble, copper, silver Uncommon/Rare: Gems, jewelry, mithral (very little), gold Alignment: LN, N, NE Found north of Impiltur and east of the Moonsea. This region was once a mighty realm, but is beginning the process of rebuilding after decades of war with neighbors, orcs, and gnolls plentiful in the surrounding mountains. The country is tolerant of all races and most religions and is friendly to visitors, especially those proficient in slaying "monsters". Politics and adventure abound for those seeking it. Damara maintains friendly relations with its neighbors. It enjoys a thriving gem trade on its abundance of chalcedony (aka "bloodstone" for its red flecks). The Damaran leaders, however, keep a vigilant eye on the neighboring land of Vaasa and are ever prepared for any threat that may arise from there. |
